Job description

You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients.
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team, responsible for efficiently managing patient intake and rooming, recording vital signs, interviewing patients for medical history, and performing medication reconciliation in a high-volume ambulatory care clinic.
Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently room an average of 20 to 30 patients per day to keep the high-volume clinic running smoothly.
  • Measure and accurately record basic clinical data (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, and weight) before the physician enters the room.
  • Interview patients using a standardized intake form to document medical backgrounds, lifestyle habits, and demographic information.
  • Review, verify, and update the patient's current medication list in the system.

Qualifications
  • MA Diploma
  • High-school Diploma
  • Open to new graduates and those with a couple of years of experience

Preferred Skills
  • Clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply

Additional Requirements
Schedule: Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM | Friday: 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Half-day Friday)
