Job description

Responsibilities
  • Support clinical practice operations and physician patient care flow in a fast-paced specialty setting.
  • Greet patients, verify records, and prepare/room patients for examinations, consultations, and minor procedures.
  • Maintain physician schedules, coordinating patient appointments, post-op, pre-op, and new patient allocations.
  • Prepare, clean, disinfect, and stock examination rooms and equipment according to clinical standards.
  • Coordinate laboratory work and orders as permitted by practice policy.
  • Ensure prompt, respectful patient communication and clear documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Pitch in across general clinical operations as needed to support team productivity.
  • Note: Phlebotomy performance is NOT required for this role.

Required Skills
  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical practice, outpatient facility, or specialty healthcare office.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and basic computer/office technology.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control, and HIPAA privacy rules.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Registration (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA).
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
  • Experience working within a surgical specialty or fast-paced outpatient clinical environment.

Schedule/Shift
Full-Time (Monday - Friday, Standard Business Hours / 40 hours per week)
