Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team. The primary responsibilities include preparing patients for exams and treatments, assisting providers, performing office-based tests, coordinating patient care, and maintaining a clean and functional environment. The goal is to ensure optimal patient care and support clinical processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for exams and treatments by taking and recording vital signs, symptoms, and other necessary measurements; document in electronic medical records accurately.
  • Assist providers with exams and minor procedures, acting as a chaperone as needed.
  • Perform office-based testing and treatments under clinician supervision, administer medications, and utilize universal sterile techniques.
  • Coordinate patient care including pre-certifications, scheduling, and communication of test results and patient instructions.
  • Provide clerical support, maintain complete medical records, and schedule follow-up appointments.
  • Maintain a clean environment, disinfect equipment, and perform basic maintenance responsibilities.
  • Order supplies, monitor inventory, and manage medication expirations and recalls.
  • Communicate with front office to aid in patient flow management.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assisting degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Experience
  • Experience with office medical procedures, treatments, insurance, managed care operations, EMR, and scheduling software.

Skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and organized.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and secure handling of Protected Health Information.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Additional Requirements
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
