Overview

McLane Advanced Technologies (MAT) is looking for an experienced SharePoint Developer / Administrator to design, configure, and support SharePoint solutions for the Department of Energy's (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) programs in Albuquerque. The SharePoint Developer / Administrator will work closely with federal and contractor teams to deliver secure, reliable, and user‑friendly platforms for document control, collaboration, and configuration management in a classified environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, configuration, integration, and administration of SharePoint solutions aligned with DOE/NNSA’s mission requirements.
  • Create and manage document libraries, workflows, access controls, and dashboards for sensitive federal projects.
  • Design custom SharePoint apps and automate business processes using Power Platform tools when needed.
  • Ensure SharePoint environments comply with cybersecurity, federal recordkeeping, and DOE/NNSA technical standards.
  • Support data migration, integration with legacy databases, and transition to cloud-based environments as required.
  • Develop technical documentation for platform architecture, process baselines, and compliance audits.
  • Train and support users on SharePoint features, security protocols, and collaboration best practices.
  • Troubleshoot issues and maintain system reliability in coordination with federal IT and security teams.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote the adoption of commercial best practices within regulatory frameworks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in SharePoint development, administration, and support, including work in secure or federal environments.
  • Proven expertise in SharePoint Online and On-Prem environments, including site design, workflow automation, and integration with Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience with Power Platform (PowerApps, Flow), InfoPath, and custom app development for business processes.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, federal IT standards (NIST, RMF), and data protection policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to design solutions integrating SharePoint with legacy systems and external databases.
  • Familiarity with document control, configuration management, and compliance in federal/DoD settings.
  • Active DOE L clearance (or higher), or ability to obtain required security clearance; US citizenship mandatory.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and user training skills.
