Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Internet Web Engineer / SharePoint Developer to support enterprise collaboration and cloud-based solutions within a Microsoft 365 Government environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise with SharePoint Online, Office 365, Azure, Power Platform, Power BI, Active Directory, PowerShell, and web technologies. This role will focus on developing, configuring, securing, and maintaining SharePoint sites and related solutions while supporting cloud-centric operations and a remote workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, modify, and deploy SharePoint sites, forms, workflows, and solutions using Microsoft 365 Government tools.
  • Design and implement SharePoint solutions that align with organizational business objectives and technology standards.
  • Administer and maintain SharePoint sites, sub-sites, structures, content, and configurations.
  • Manage site security, permissions, access controls, quotas, and file-size limits.
  • Configure SharePoint services, settings, and solution packages.
  • Deploy and maintain custom-developed and third-party SharePoint solutions.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to SharePoint end users.
  • Review and monitor SharePoint usage reports and perform ongoing site maintenance.
  • Identify and remove unused or obsolete sites as part of SharePoint environment cleanup.
  • Support Microsoft 365 Government environment management, including permissions and security.
  • Provide Power BI support and assist with Power Platform-related solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, architecture designs, and project documentation.
  • Create architecture diagrams and technology navigation maps to communicate technical solutions.
  • Assist with system architecture design and implementation in alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Collaborate with project teams, customers, and subject matter experts during system design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Plan, organize, and support project milestones through successful completion.
  • Provide regular project and technical status updates to stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing policies and procedures aligned with cybersecurity and information security requirements.
  • Support security and data protection initiatives involving NIST 800-53, FISMA, and applicable state information security requirements.
  • Help integrate systems and workflows to improve efficiency, strengthen user security, and reduce data correction requirements.
  • Apply security best practices, including Zero Trust principles, role-based access controls, secure configuration baselines, and continuous monitoring.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support for cloud-centric solutions and respond to priority technical issues as required.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint.
  • 6+ years of experience with security and data classification related to regulated environments, including CDC, HIPAA, and CJIS requirements.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing state-level public health system architectures.
  • 6+ years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Strong experience with SharePoint administration, configuration, security, permissions, and solution deployment.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based collaboration platforms and enterprise Microsoft environments.
  • Experience supporting remote workforce collaboration and cloud-based business solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision while collaborating effectively with technical teams, customers, and subject matter experts.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Office 365 Power BI.
  • 6+ years of experience with Azure Power Platform, Power BI, and PowerApps.
  • 6+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting.
  • 6+ years of experience with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, XML, and RSS.
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud-based enterprise solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 security, governance, and compliance.
  • Experience developing architecture diagrams, technical documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of public-sector cybersecurity, data classification, and regulatory compliance requirements.
