A SharePoint contract typically refers to a temporary work agreement where an individual or company is hired to manage, develop, or customize Microsoft SharePoint solutions for a client. These contracts can involve tasks such as site migration, document management, workflow automation, or user training. SharePoint contractors are often brought in for specific projects or to fill a skills gap within an organization. The duration of the contract can vary from a few weeks to several months, depending on the project's complexity. Contractors are expected to have expertise in SharePoint administration, development, and integration with other Microsoft tools.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a SharePoint contractor?

To thrive as a SharePoint Contractor, you need expertise in SharePoint administration, site design, workflow automation, and a solid understanding of Microsoft 365, often backed by relevant IT degrees or certifications like Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Associate.
