About the Role
Shalom Gardens & Parkside Senior Living is seeking a Business Office Manager / Human Resources Manager to support our senior living communities in Richmond, VA. This dual-role position is ideal for a detail-oriented, people-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare or senior living environment.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth business operations while fostering a positive employee experience through effective HR support.
Key Responsibilities
Business Office Management
  • Oversee daily business office operations for both communities
  • Manage billing, accounts receivable, and resident financial records
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and vendor payments
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
  • Support census tracking and financial reporting as needed
  • Collaborate with leadership to maintain operational efficiency

Human Resources Management
  • Manage onboarding, orientation, and employee documentation
  • Maintain personnel files and ensure compliance with HR regulations
  • Support recruiting efforts, including coordination with Talent Acquisition
  • Assist with benefits administration, employee relations, and HR inquiries
  • Track attendance, PTO, and employee status changes
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and support employee engagement

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in business office management, HR, or healthcare administration preferred
  • Experience in senior living, assisted living, or healthcare strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of HR compliance, employment laws, and best practices
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
