Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Mark patterns and sewing placement locations on garment components.
  • Perform trimming, cutting, and thread removal.
  • Apply fuse materials using heat press equipment.
  • Perform pick and turn operations for garment components.
  • Prepare parts and materials for sewing operations.
  • Assist in inspection of garment components prior to assembly.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions for production tasks.
  • Maintain safe work practices and report equipment issues.

Machine/Tool Use

  • Heat press machines
  • Hand tools for trimming and marking
  • Non-sewing production equipment

Complexity Level

  • Basic production preparation tasks.
  • No garment assembly sewing required.
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Experience: Some knowledge of industrial sewing machine operations preferred but not required, such as single or double needle etc.
  • Specific Skills: Must be able to follow verbal or written instructions.
  • Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: None required.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Good mechanical aptitude to be able to make machine adjustments.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Occasionally stands and walks.
  • Frequently sits. Continuously gasps.
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 10 pounds.
