Description:Hello!Thank you so much for your interest in the full-time (40/hrs. per week) Housekeeping/Janitorial position with Eagle Valley Children’s Home. I am happy to share more information about this opportunity and have attached the job description for your review.
This position plays an important role in helping maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for the individuals we serve, our staff, and visitors. Our Housekeeping/Janitorial team is a valued part of our home and helps ensure the facility remains comfortable and well cared for each day.


Position Title: Housekeeper/Janitor
Starting Pay: $18.06 per hour (6-month introductory period, raise after successfully passed and scheduled yearly)  
Schedule: Full-time

Hours:  7:00am - 3:30pm

Days off:  Tuesday & Wednesday


Position Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of the facility. This role performs routine housekeeping, janitorial, and laundry duties.


Essential Duties Include:

  • Maintaining cleanliness throughout the building and workplace
  • Dusting, cleaning windows and sills, washrooms, client equipment, furniture, housekeeping equipment, and other assigned areas
  • Emptying trash and watering plants
  • Maintaining floors (sweeping & mopping) and some vacuuming  
  • Laundering client clothing, shirt covers, and linens, including washing, drying, folding, hanging, putting away, weighing/charting, ironing, and sewing as needed
  • Monitoring and controlling stock of supplies
  • Ensuring sanitary conditions throughout the facility
  • Following facility safety procedures and administrative policies
  • Assisting with additional duties as needed in support of the team environment
