First Shift Mattress Assembly Associate
Location: Auburn, IN
Shift: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Join a leading foam manufacturing company that produces quality bedding products used across the country. We are hiring dependable, hardworking individuals to join our mattress assembly team. This position plays an important role in the final production process by ensuring every mattress meets customer quality standards before shipment.
Job Responsibilities
Perform final assembly of mattresses to ensure customer quality requirements are met
Learn and operate an industrial sewing machine to apply fire socks to mattresses
Apply covers to mattresses, pillows, and toppers according to production schedules
Sew and zip mattress covers
Inspect products for quality, correct labeling, warranties, and proper packaging
Package finished mattresses and prepare them for shipment
Meet daily production and quality goals
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
Ability to use basic math skills
Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
Frequently lift and handle mattresses weighing 50 to 80 pounds
Push and pull mattresses weighing up to 80 pounds
Stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive work throughout the shift
Work Environment
