JET Food Stores of Georgia, the leading family operated convenience store chain throughout Georgia. We are looking to hire an experienced Maintenance Technician to help support our growing business. A JET Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and pays attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all company policies as well as health and safety guidelines. Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician
• Provide support outside normal working hours, if necessary, and provide weekend support on rotation with fellow Maintenance Technicians
• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safe work practices
• Ensures assigned task are completed efficiently, cost effectively and in a timely manner.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Conduct repairs and maintenance of fuel oil dispensers and related fueling equipment
• Conduct repairs and maintenance of food service equipment
• Conduct repairs and maintenance of structural systems such as roofs, walls, doors, ceilings, etc.
• Support the setup and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and conduct repairs when necessary
Requirements:
Qualifications for Maintenance Technician: Qualified applicants shall possess the following:
• Possess a valid State driver's license and a clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent as well as a Certificate in Air Conditioning or Refrigeration Technology or equivalent credentials.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a HVAC/R technician or in related field
• EPA Certification in accordance with 40 CFR Part 82
• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds
• A strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
• Experience in operating a variety of equipment, including man lift, dump trailer, pump trailer, and small hand tools to name a few
• A strong working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and metering devices
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
