Field Service Welder & Grinder
Company: Watson Custom Tanks
Pay: $23-$35/hour (base pay + travel differential)
Per Diem Rate: $65/day + paid lodging

Watson Custom Tanks is growing, and we're looking for a Field Service Welder & Grinder who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and working directly with customers. With over 100 years of combined experience in custom tank manufacturing, our team is known for delivering innovative, high-quality solutions-and we need someone who can represent that standard in the field.
What You'll Do
  • Install, repair, and maintain equipment at customer locations
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and performance issues
  • Perform field testing to ensure proper operation
  • Create detailed service reports and recommendations
  • Collaborate with sales, production, and engineering teams
  • Build strong, professional relationships with customers
  • 70% Travel & 30% On Site

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or technical experience
  • Ability to travel up to 75% (multi-day trips, short notice)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Experience with preventative maintenance practices
  • Knowledge of overhead cranes, forklifts, and hand tools
  • Welding experience (MIG/TIG, stainless preferred)
