Job description

Lexington Rental Homes – Lexington, Kentucky

Lexington Rental Homes is seeking a dependable and organized Resident Transition Coordinator to manage the move-in and move-out process for our rental properties. This position also conducts routine property inspections, changes locks between residents, and helps ensure our homes are properly documented, secured, maintained, and ready for occupancy.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and conduct resident move-ins and move-outs
  • Complete detailed move-in and move-out inspections
  • Perform routine interior and exterior property inspections
  • Change and rekey locks between residents
  • Install and replace locksets, deadbolts, and related door hardware as needed
  • Distribute, collect, label, and manage property keys, remotes, and access devices
  • Take clear photographs and document property conditions
  • Review move-in procedures and property information with new residents
  • Identify damages, maintenance concerns, lease violations, and safety issues
  • Prepare accurate inspection reports and submit required documentation
  • Communicate professionally with residents, property owners, vendors, and LRH staff
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team regarding repairs and make-ready work
  • Confirm properties are secure and ready before scheduled move-ins
  • Assist with other property operations as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Professional communication and customer-service skills
  • Comfortable using a smartphone, inspection software, email, and basic computer programs
  • Ability to change locks and perform minor door-hardware repairs
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely
  • Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule
  • Basic knowledge of residential property maintenance is preferred
  • Property management, inspection, or maintenance experience is preferred but not required
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel throughout Lexington and surrounding communities
  • Ability to walk properties, climb stairs, bend, lift, and work in varying weather conditions

 

Position Details

  • Full-time position
  • Primarily field-based, with some office responsibilities
  • Monday through Friday, with occasional scheduling outside normal business hours
  • Compensation based on experience

The ideal candidate is dependable, thorough, comfortable working with residents, and capable of documenting property conditions accurately. This person will play an important role in creating a smooth transition for residents while protecting and securing the properties managed by Lexington Rental Homes.
