Job description

Total Fire and Security is hiring an experienced Fire Alarm Lead Installation Technician. This position offers competitive compensation with an excellent benefits package. If you're excited to be part of a winning team, TFS is a great place to grow your career.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, test, and maintain fire alarm systems in accordance with applicable NFPA codes with working knowledge of system controls, alarm panels, devices, and components.
  • Understanding of system schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot and repair deficiencies.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
  • Proper use and operation of tools required to complete the installation.
  • Plan, coordinate, and complete installations as scheduled in a timely manner.
  • On-call rotation with other technicians to handle emergency service.
  • Ensure company provided vehicle is clean and well maintained as required by company policies.
  • Ensure that all assigned tools are safeguarded and maintained.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • NICET II and/or state certification helpful (FAST).
  • 2+ years' experience inspecting and/or installing fire alarm systems required.
  • 2 years experience with CCTV, Intrusion, & Card Access systems preferred
  • Ability to use a computer, tablet and read electronic blueprints required.
  • Building Reports experience preferred.
  • Service Trade experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Schedule: 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday
