About the Role
Modern Auto Service in Fruitland, ID is looking for a skilled Automotive Diagnostics & Repair Technician to join our team!
This is your chance to bring your technical expertise to a shop that values quality workmanship and keeps customers coming
back.

And guess what, our shop has A/C. Because sweating should not be part of the diagnostic process.
Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using electronic diagnostic tools and equipment
• Execute repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and more
• Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid services
• Interpret diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and develop accurate repair plans
• Document repair orders, parts used, and labor time accurately and thoroughly
• Communicate findings and recommendations to service advisors clearly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work bay and shop environment - an A/C shop environment, we might add
Requirements
• 3-5 years of professional automotive repair experience preferred
• Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic
• Proficiency with diagnostic scan tools and OBD-II systems
• ASE certification(s) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle systems including electrical, drivetrain, and HVAC
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Own a set of professional hand tools
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and a strong team player
