Job description

Onstream Pipeline Inspection is a leading provider of Inline and Tethered Magnetic Flux Leakage, Caliper, and Inertial Measurement inspection services for oil and gas pipeline operators across North America.

Join Our Team as a Wireline Operator. We are looking for a technically grounded, safety-focused professional who thrives in high-pressure field environments. You excel at executing precision downhole operations, performing rigorous integrity assessments, and delivering accurate data reports. If you bring mechanical intuition and a relentless work ethic to every job site, we want you on our crew.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wireline Operation & Field Support
    • Operate and maintain wireline truck and associated field equipment.
    • Assist with launching, tracking, receiving, and recovery of inline inspection tools.
    • Support rig-in and rig-out of field locations and equipment setups.
    • Assist field crews with general inspection activities during project execution.
    • Maintain proper tools, parts, and supplies required for field operations.
    • Interface directly with clients onsite in a professional manner.
    • Operate safely during all phases of field deployment, including high-traffic and remote locations.
    • Support troubleshooting of field equipment and operational issues as they arise.
  • Equipment Maintenance & Readiness
    • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of wireline trucks, trailers, and support equipment.
    • Assist Field Technicians with inspection tool maintenance and preparation as required.
    • Ensure assigned equipment is clean, serviceable, and ready for deployment.
    • Identify equipment deficiencies and report maintenance needs promptly.
    • Help maintain operational readiness of field tools, support gear, and truck inventory.
  • Field Readiness & Compliance
    • Travel extensively for on-site project support, subject to operational requirements.
    • Adhere to all company safety policies, job-specific safety requirements, and client site rules.
    • Follow PPE requirements and conduct pre-use inspections of assigned equipment.
    • Maintain a driving record that meets company driver eligibility requirements and complies with company driving policy and traffic laws.
    • Adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and all applicable transportation requirements.
    • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation, professionalism, and safe work practices.
    • Recognize that this is a safety-sensitive position and perform all work accordingly.
  • Documentation & Communication
    • Maintain truck, equipment, and project-based records accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Accurately complete field forms, logs, and required operational documentation.
    • Conduct or participate in daily safety briefings, including FLHAs, JSAs, and tailgate meetings.
    • Communicate job progress, issues, and concerns to the Project Manager or supervisor in real time.
    • Report incidents, near misses, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns promptly.
  • Housekeeping
    • Ensure field trucks are kept clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and supplies.
    • Promptly report truck or equipment deficiencies requiring service or repair.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of field work areas, staging areas, and shop support spaces.
    • Dispose of waste materials properly and follow housekeeping standards after each job.
    • Proactively identify and correct hazards or disorganization in work and storage areas.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma required.

  • Valid class A CDL with applicable endorsements and motor vehicle record (MVR) clean required.
  • Minimum 3 years of oilfield driving experience, including operation of 18-speed standard transmission vehicles.
  • Wireline operation experience preferred.
  • Experience in oil and gas, pipeline, or related field operations preferred.
  • Current Basic Plus or equivalent site-required safety training preferred.
  • Valid Passport (asset; required for cross-border travel).
