Job description

Precision Well Servicing is currently seeking a Procurement Administrator to join our team!

This position will be based either out of our Red Deer or Nisku facility, so living local to one of these locations is a requirement. Our teams have returned to our office facilities, and remote work is not available for this role.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for day-to-day processing of purchase order requests from creation through to completion
  • Review and process receiving documents in accordance with Precision's policies and procedures
  • Adheres to policies and procedures surrounding spending limits and approval allowances
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure the smooth processing of the company's transactions
  • Maintain regular communication with Field Employees and Vendors to support operational requirements
  • Contribute as an engaged and collaborative member of a high-performing, cohesive team by sharing information, supporting team priorities, and fostering a positive and respectful working environment
  • Support vendor interactions including occasional participation in sourcing activities and assisting with pricing discussions, while maintaining established supplier relationships

What will you offer?

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an administrative role; procurement and/or oil and gas experience considered an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
  • Demonstrate ability to take initiative, to work independently and follow through on work assignments
  • Strong team orientation with a collaborative mindset and willingness to support shared team objectives
  • Ability and propensity to use judgement and re-evaluate decisions when presented with new information
  • Experience creating purchase orders; previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics AX is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service and vendor relationship skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and data accuracy
  • High school diploma or equivalent
