The Service Manager leads by example and uplifts our staff through busy times. The Service Manager establishes quality standards, trains and educates service employees in cooking methods, serving techniques, and portion control. Utilizes experience and talent to help the restaurant reach their financial goals through skilled management in the categories of labor, customer service and management.

  • Customer-Service : Service managers are required to interact with customers. Being friendly and courteous will help keep customers coming back.
  • Company Representative : Service Managers must maintain a working knowledge of Company products and specifications.
  • Attention to Detail : Service managers must keep their eyes on a lot of elements: food & health standards, service standards, safety, etc.
  • Leadership : Service managers must be leaders in the front of house, unifying their team during heavy shifts, resolving conflicts and successfully executing the task at hand.
  • Management Skills : Service managers not only deal with customers, they also must deal with employees, food quality, resolving problems and more.
  • Organizational Skills : Keeping work schedules, seating charts, cleaning schedules and more organized is crucial to the job.
  • Problem-Solving Skills : Dealing with employee conflict, irate customers and wrong stock orders is part of a service managers job. Being able to come up with a solution quickly is a needed skill.
  • Communication Skills : Service managers need to accurately and easily communicate standards and cooking methods to staff, give orders and speak with customers clearly. They must also be able to accept and act on feedback.
  • Stamina : Service managers can expect long days revolving around kitchen and dining room needs
