About Engineering Ventures

Are you a motivated engineer ready to make an impact? At Engineering Ventures, PC (EV), weโ€™re a team of passionate professionals who believe that meaningful, challenging, and collaborative work leads to the best results for our clients, our communities, and our people.

We specialize in creative civil and structural engineering, working on projects that truly matter. These include urban redevelopment, municipal infrastructure, advanced medical facilities, and private development. Our clients include architects, universities, non-profits, developers, and municipalities. We are a values-driven, mission-focused firm committed to enhancing the quality of life in the communities we serve.

About the Role

We are looking for a self-motivated staff engineer who is ready to learn, grow, and collaborate with like-minded professionals. This role is ideal for someone looking to advance, with opportunities for hands-on experience and close collaboration with experienced engineers.

We offer structured mentorship and encourage individual initiative. As your skills grow, you will take on greater responsibility in design, client interaction, and project leadership.

  • Design wet utility and stormwater systems, including hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.
  • Develop grading, parking, and roadway plans.
  • Conduct field work and prepare technical reports.
  • Prepare design plans, specifications, and permit applications.
  • Participate in project meetings and public hearings as needed.
  • Create design drawings and exhibits using relevant software.
  • Support proposal development, change orders, and client communications.
  • For more experienced applicants: mentor junior staff, review work by others, and help manage project budgets and schedules.

What Weโ€™re Looking for

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering.
  • 2โ€“10 years of relevant experience (Project Engineer experience is a plus).
  • EIT certification or PE license in Vermont.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Technical writing proficiency.
  • Experience with site design, utilities, and permitting.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D software. HydroCAD experience preferred.

The Perks

We believe in balance, fun, and giving back. Hereโ€™s what you can expect:

  • Company retreats and picnics
  • Remote/hybrid work schedule opportunities
  • Social Events throughout the year
  • Dog Friendly Offices

The Benefits

We take care of our people with:

  • Generous health, dental, and vision insurance plans with employer contributions
  • 401k with employer contributions
  • Life insurance
  • Short and long-term disability insurance
  • 6 weeks paid leave for birthing parents, 2 weeks paid leave for non-birthing parent
  • Company Bonus Program
  • Paid overtime
