Job description

This at-will position is for being a primary supervisor and monitoring dogs inside of the daycare play areas to ensure their safety and well-being. Engaging with dogs through play, exercise, and training activities. Feeding and administering medication as directed by their
owners. Cleaning and maintaining the daycare facility to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. Maintaining a friendly, helpful demeanor. Works effectively with other team members and continue to improve and develop skills and knowledge.
Essential Functions:
The following list of functions is descriptive of the work to be performed but should not be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, functions, or tasks that the job may require.
Kennel Technician:
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Supervising and monitoring dogs in the daycare play areas to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Engaging with the dogs through play, exercise, and training activities.
  • Feeding and administering medication to dogs as directed by their owners.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the daycare facility to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Interacting with clients and providing exceptional customer service.

Non-Essential Functions: Assists with other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have prior experience working with dogs.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met or may be encountered by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 30 pounds or exerting heavy force, in a wide disparity of environmental conditions. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, etc. climbing stairs and walking, or its equivalent up to 5 miles for the entire shift. All job functions will be completed in a variety of environmental conditions including adverse weather and extreme temperatures.
