Job description

The Jack Giambalvo Family of Dealerships is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Service Technician to join our Giambalvo Hyundai team in York!

What You’ll Do:

As a Service Technician, you’ll be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repairs with precision, efficiency, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Receive repair orders and perform work in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards

Diagnose vehicle concerns and complete repairs accurately and efficiently

Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary components

Inspect vehicles for additional safety or maintenance needs and report findings to the service advisor

Clearly document all work performed and services recommended

Road-test vehicles as needed to verify repairs and ensure quality

Supervise and support apprentice technicians as assigned

Stay up to date with Hyundai systems, tools, and factory technical bulletins

Attend manufacturer training and continue developing technical skills

Maintain cleanliness and care of customer vehicles

Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Follow all federal, state, and local regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials

What You Bring to the Table:

Previous automotive service technician experience preferred

Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills

ASE certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Ability to read and interpret repair instructions and technical information

High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities

Solid work ethic and team-oriented mindset

Manual dexterity and good judgment

High school diploma or equivalent required

Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
