Job description

SunSource and its family of companies represent 270+ locations and 4,000+ employees making up one of North America's leading value-add industrial distribution companies.  We provide customers with products and value-added solutions within Fluid Power, Fluid Process, Fluid Conveyance, Automation, General Industrial Components, and Industrial Repair. www.sun-source.com

This role is focused on selling Fluid Power component repair and service solutions for off-highway and industrial equipment. You will develop new business, grow existing accounts, and build long-term customer relationships throughout your assigned territory.

The territory will cover Southwest Wisconsin and surrounding areas. This is a field-based sales role for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving customer problems, and driving sales growth.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to acquire new customers and grow existing accounts.
  • Drive full-cycle business development, including lead qualification, cold calling, prospecting, and sales presentations.
  • Make regular in-person customer and prospect visits to identify needs and uncover new opportunities.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships by providing responsive, value-added solutions.
  • Partner with customer service and technical support teams to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Use CRM tools and sales resources to effectively manage time, territory, and opportunities.
Experience, Education and Skills:
  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent
  • Technical or bachelor's degree is preferred with preference given to fluid power programs or similar discipline such as industrial technology, mechanical or related
  • Fluid Power Certification is preferred, but not required
  • 2+ years of industrial sales experience (hydraulic service and repair sales strongly preferred)
  • Experience with hydraulic equipment rebuilding and repair (mobile or industrial) is a plus
  • Proven ability to build relationships and consistently meet or exceed sales goals
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn and use CRM tools
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the territory (overnight travel may be required)
  • This role will routinely make on-site customer visits in industrial settings requiring the ability meet with customers at their locations and drive moderate to long distances.
  • At times may be required to lift items weighing as much as 50lbs
