Senior Hyper-V Engineer
Duration: 9+ months
Location: Remote (up to 90% travel required)
Eligibility: US Passport required
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Senior Hyper-V Engineers to support a large-scale VMware to Hyper-V migration project. This role involves architecting, deploying, and optimizing Hyper-V clusters, implementing automation, and ensuring secure integration with enterprise systems. Candidates must be highly skilled in virtualization technologies, Windows Server environments, and automation scripting, with the ability to travel extensively to deliver project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategy and architecture alignment for VMware to Hyper-V migration.
  • Deploy and manage Hyper-V clusters with Failover Clustering.
  • Implement SCVMM, Windows Admin Center (WAC), and configure virtual networking (VM switches, VLANs, QoS).
  • Develop PowerShell scripts to automate deployments, workflows, and monitoring.
  • Optimize Hyper-V host performance and resolve complex tier-3 hypervisor issues.
  • Implement and maintain Hyper-V replicas and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with Active Directory and Cybersecurity teams to ensure secure integration of Hyper-V nodes.
  • Provide recommendations for process, organizational, and system improvements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and apply best practices aligned with SDLC and IT standards.
  • Travel up to 90% to support project deliverables.
