Professional Server (PartTime)

Location: Sterling Steakhouse and Lounge 1242 Center Dr Ste. 100, Park City, UT 84098

Position Overview

The Professional Server is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by accurately taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a refined, attentive dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, a polished customerservice approach, and the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced, upscale restaurant environment. The Server ensures compliance with all service standards, maintains a clean and organized work area, and supports seamless coordination between frontofhouse and kitchen staff.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Guest Interaction & Service - Greet guests promptly, present menus, answer questions, make informed recommendations, and maintain a professional, welcoming demeanor throughout the dining experience. • Order Management - Accurately take food and beverage orders, record or memorize selections, relay orders to the kitchen and bar, and ensure timely delivery of each course. • Food & Beverage Service - Serve meals and drinks according to established standards, monitor guest satisfaction, and anticipate additional needs. • Table Maintenance - Clear plates, reset tables, and maintain cleanliness and organization throughout service. • Payment Processing - Present checks, process payments, handle cash and electronic transactions, and ensure accurate billing. • Coordination & Communication - Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth service flow and accurate order fulfillment. • Compliance & Safety - Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety guidelines; verify identification for alcohol service when required.
Other Duties

Additional responsibilities may include assisting with food preparation tasks such as ladling soups, portioning desserts, brewing coffee, and supporting special events or private dining service. The Server may also help maintain service stations, restock supplies, and perform other duties consistent with Sterling Steakhouse and Lounge's operational standards.

Rate of Pay

$7.00 – $10.00 per hour plus tips, depending on experience.

Schedule

Normal shift: 3:30 PM – 10:00 PM, including weekends and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: • Minimum 1–2 years professional serving experience in an upscale restaurant or hotel environment. • Strong customerservice skills and familiarity with finedining service standards.

Education: • High School Diploma or GED required.
