About This Role: Dining Server in Senior Living

If you are looking for a Dining Server job where your work genuinely matters, this is it. At Aviva Senior Living, mealtimes are one of our residents' favorite parts of the day, and you will be the person who makes it special. Our chef curated menus and fine dining atmosphere set the stage. Your warmth and hospitality bring it to life.

Shift Details:

We are currently searching for a Dining Server to assist with the following shift: part-time late afternoon to early evenings. We do require every other weekend.

Please note this may change throughout employment as needed with notice.

What You Will Do

  • Greet residents, visitors, and team members with warmth and professionalism
  • Serve chef prepared meals and ensure resident satisfaction in a fine dining environment
  • Record guest meal orders and enter them into our POS system
  • Assist in preparations for special meals, themed dinners, and private parties
  • Ensure proper food and supply storage in compliance with safety standards
  • Complete scheduled cleaning duties for the dining room and server areas
  • Ensure the dining room is clean and fully set for the next meal service before your shift ends
  • Report and address any unsafe conditions or equipment concerns promptly
  • Follow proper procedures when handling cleaning products and other materials
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with coworkers and community leadership
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to two years of related experience preferred
  • ServSafe Certification, or the ability to obtain it
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Experience working with older adults in a courteous and caring manner
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle food safely in accordance with facility policies and all applicable state and federal regulations
