Job description

SERVER - PM (PART TIME) AT SALT HARVEST
Reports to Restaurant Manager; position is non-exempt

THE ROLE
The Server reports to Food + Beverage Leadership and works in a team environment with other F+B professionals. It is critical the person in this position possesses a background and knowledge in service techniques and has a natural ability to manage time. They are responsible for collaborating fellow service professionals to ensure the timely delivery of food and drinks. Both AM and PM positions are available.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Uphold and model the company's principles of People, Place and Character, driving collaboration, intuition and translocal hospitality
  • Assist in all aspects of a guest's experience from extending a warm greeting to executing on requests in a friendly and timely manner
  • Participate in daily lineups and staff meetings to further develop ideas and objectives with the service team
  • Be accountable for working knowledge of the menu; and to serve alcohol safely, responsibly, and legally; and accurately account for all monetary transactions during your shift
  • Ensure your workstation is clean and organized, with the utmost respect for your guests, peers, and equipment
  • Demonstrate an understanding of basic culinary and beverage terms and strive to know more
  • Observe conditions of all physical facilities and relay any challenges to the food and beverage leadership team to make corrections and improvements as needed
  • Assist in other areas of the F+B Department as needed

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Passion for the People, Place and Culture of our community, love of restaurants and guest service also required
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a restaurant server in either a free-standing or hotel restaurant
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol Servers Permit (MAST) and WA Food handler Permit within 14 days of hire
  • Ability to meet local age requirements to serve alcohol
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule to include evening weekends and holidays
  • Fluency in English, verbal and written
  • Ability to continuously stand and/or walk for most of a shift
  • Ability to lift and/or carry 30 lbs. (chair, table, tray, crate, box, etc.)
