Position Summary

The Server Assistant is responsible for setting and clearing tables, placing and replacing silverware, keeping beverage glasses full and adhering to sanitation and safety policies.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleaning machines and appliances, such as coffee &ย tea makers, glass washers and bread warmer.
  • Maintain the general cleanliness and orderliness of the coffee and bread station during service.
  • Set up bread trays and butter dishes for service, and prepare coffee and tea beverages to order
  • Properly sets-up coffee and bread stations, performs side-work and other opening/closingย procedures as directed by management.
  • Sort soiled China, glasses, and silverware outside the break down area, polishingย glasses/silverware and restocking server stations.
  • Always maintain general cleanliness and stock paper supply in guest restrooms during service.
  • Emptying trash, receptacles, sweeping floors, restocking all supplies in the dining room andย ensure that the dining areas and service stations are clean and organized.
  • Anticipate and accommodate the needs of guests while providing professional and exceptionalย service to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Communicates the needs of the guests to Front-of-House and Back-of-House support staff,ย servers, managers, and chefs.
  • Protects establishment, guests, and employees by adhering to Department of Health andย Company sanitation standards.
  • Reports all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
  • Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings.
  • Updates knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
  • Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Previous busser/hospitality experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge.
  • Must be able to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
  • Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials may occur.
  • Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work PM & Busser shift.
