Job Summary: 
The server plays an essential part in Ted’s Café Escondido Restaurants’ operations.  The server is such a vital role because most of the guests’ interaction is with this position.  To create an atmosphere of comfort for our guests the server must constantly be aware of their professionalism and attitude.  A server at Ted’s must combine the highest level of service with a relaxed and friendly style.  Teamwork is an essential part of Ted’s to maintain consistently superior service and ensure a return visit.    

Responsibilities:
  1. To ensure that Ted’s standard of service is given to every guest, every time
  2. Anticipate the guests needs
  3. To have full knowledge of our menu and be able to effectively answer guest questions
  4. To have full knowledge of the Aloha system 
  5. Be punctual and in full uniform for each shift
  6. Follow all guidelines, policies, and procedures of Ted’s Café Escondido Restaurants’
  7. Follow the nueve steps of service at every table
  8. Ensure that all health and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times
  9. Adhere to the buddy system and take responsibility for your actions
  10. Ensure hot food is a priority
  11. Have a positive attitude at all times
  12. Declare all of your tips
  13. Perform all side work and setup/breakdown duties as assigned
Expectations: 
  1. Ensure 100% guest satisfaction and return
  2. Display professional conduct at all times
  3. Accept personal accountability for all actions
  4. Be punctual for every shift
  5. Follow all guidelines, policies, and procedures of Ted’s Café Escondido Restaurants’
  6. Attend all mandatory meetings.
  7. Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for your department
  8. Treat all staff members and guests with respect
  9. Contribute to a positive working environment
  10. Maintain confidentiality with all company information
  11. Ensure that you are knowledgeable of your specific responsibilities in the event of an emergency
Work Conditions: 
  1. Subject to potentially upset guests and staff
  2. Involved with guests and staff under all conditions and circumstances
  3. Varied working hours may include weekends, holidays, late evenings, and early mornings as needed
  4. Must be able to stand and/or walk 8+ hours daily
  5. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. frequently
  6. Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and climbing
  7. Occasional squatting, kneeling, crawling, and fine manipulation
Minimum Qualifications: 
Experience
  1. Previous restaurant experience- 6 months minimum
Specific Requirements
  1. Must posses interpersonal relations skills
  2. Professional in attitude, demeanor, and dress
  3. Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
