Job Location: New York, NY - Hybrid (3 Days Onsite, 2 Days Remote)
Duration: 12 Months+ Contract
Pay Range: $75-$78/hr (W2), depending on experience

Position Overview
Our Fortune 500 client located in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Senior Azure Solutions Architect to lead the design, implementation, and modernization of enterprise cloud and application solutions built on Microsoft Azure. This role partners with engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and business teams to develop scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud architectures that support digital transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines deep Microsoft Azure expertise with strong application architecture experience across modern web technologies, APIs, microservices, and enterprise software development. This is an excellent opportunity for a technical leader who enjoys defining architecture standards, mentoring development teams, and delivering innovative cloud solutions within a collaborative enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design scalable, secure, and highly available Microsoft Azure cloud solutions supporting enterprise applications and business initiatives.
  • Define solution architecture for cloud infrastructure, web applications, APIs, integrations, identity, networking, storage, and security.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, infrastructure teams, and cybersecurity teams to deliver enterprise technology solutions.
  • Lead application modernization initiatives involving cloud-native architectures, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Establish architecture standards, design patterns, governance practices, and technical roadmaps.
  • Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, solution blueprints, and implementation plans.
  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Guide development teams on best practices for frontend and backend application architecture, API design, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Design secure cloud environments utilizing Azure identity, security, monitoring, and governance services.
  • Support DevOps initiatives through CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, automated deployments, and release management.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, technology evaluations, technical planning, and enterprise solution governance.
  • Mentor technical teams while promoting architecture consistency, cloud best practices, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or solution architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience designing enterprise solutions using Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong experience architecting modern web applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.
  • Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed application architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Experience with backend technologies including C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, or similar enterprise development platforms.
  • Experience implementing DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud automation.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within enterprise software delivery environments.
