Description

EOA Technologies is seeking a SME Cloud Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. ย The SME Cloud Engineer is the lead authority on Azure and Microsoft 365 solutions within the organization. This role provides strategic cloud guidance, oversees cloud transformations, and ensures secure, scalable, and compliant architectures across mission-critical systems.

  • Define enterprise-wide cloud strategy encompassing Azure infrastructure, M365 service integration, and operational resilience.
  • Lead full lifecycle cloud transformation initiatives including planning, design, execution, and sustainment.
  • Architect secure Azure solutions with advanced services like Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Synapse, Logic Apps, and Sentinel.
  • Direct enterprise-level M365 migrations (e.g., cross-tenant, government cloud, or hybrid Exchange scenarios).
  • Drive implementation of zero-trust security, data loss prevention (DLP), identity protection, and Microsoft Purview compliance features.
  • Consult with business and technical leadership to align cloud solutions with strategic objectives.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging Azure and M365 technologies into existing environments.
  • Establish policies, standards, and governance frameworks for both Azure and M365 operations.
  • Represent cloud interests during audits, technical reviews, and C-level planning sessions.

Requirements

To be considered for this position you must have the following:

  • Possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
  • Certifications required: Two (2) Cloud Certifications beyond fundamentals in representative cloud where work is performed (Azure or AWS)
  • Educational requirements: Bachelors Degree
  • Years of experience required: 12+ years
