Position Summary
The Washington Commanders are seeking a data-driven leader to join our organization as Director, Partnership Analytics, with primary responsibility for leading analytics and insights related to partnership sales, partner performance, content performance, and digital platforms. This role will serve as the central analyst to partnerships and strategy leadership, providing insights that directly influence valuation, activation effectiveness, engagement strategy, and long-term brand growth.
The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of sponsorship measurement platforms. Additionally, they should be well-versed in digital content ecosystems, including social media platforms, owned-and-operated digital channels (web and mobile app), and performance marketing. This individual will translate complex quantitative and qualitative data into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership and cross-functional business teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Executive Support
  • Lead analytics and research initiatives in support of partnership development, success, and solutions
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform partnership valuation, renewal strategy, activation effectiveness, and account growth
  • Partner with senior leadership on planning, goal setting, and measurement frameworks tied to partner acquisition, performance, and growth

Partnership Analytics
  • Build the analytical framework used to evaluate partner performance, including exposure, engagement, and activation ROI
  • Develop standardized reporting and insights for partnership assets across venue, digital, media, and experiential platforms
  • Support inventory strategy through valuation models, benchmarking, and performance tracking
  • Analyze partner performance and fan interaction data to inform renewals, upsells, and new partnership opportunities

Reporting, Insights & Data Strategy
  • Own executive dashboards and reporting frameworks related to partnership performance, fan sentiment, and research
  • Ensure insights are delivered in clear, compelling formats tailored to the appropriate audience
  • Champion best practices in analytics, experimentation, and data storytelling across the organization

Content Analytics (Social, Web, App)
  • Own performance measurement and insights across social media platforms, team website, and mobile app
  • Analyze audience reach, engagement, consumption patterns, and platform-specific behaviors to inform partnership strategy
  • Evaluate content effectiveness by format, platform, theme, and timing to optimize value
  • Develop audience growth and engagement dashboards that track performance against KPIs across channels

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Marketing Research, or a related field
  • 8-12+ years of progressive experience in analytics, strategy, business intelligence, or consumer research
  • Demonstrated experience supporting partnerships, brand, or fan/customer-focused functions in professional sports, media, or consumer-facing organizations
  • Advanced proficiency with analytical, visualization and AI tools (SQL, Python, R, Tableau/Power BI, CoPilot, Claude Code)
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate research and analytics into business impact
  • Proven ability to influence decision-making across cross-functional stakeholders
  • Familiarity with sponsorship measurement, brand tracking, and fan engagement metrics
  • Passion for professional sports and enhancing the fan experience through data and insights
