What You Will Do:
  • Design, develop, test, qualify, certify, and support cutting-edge IADS products
  • Research, develop, and test electrical systems and components to meet performance, quality, and safety requirements
  • Collaborate closely with a cross-functional engineering team
  • Partner with engineers, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders on new and existing programs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to improve reliability and manufacturing performance
  • Generate clear documentation for new and existing designs
  • Build deep technical knowledge of IADS product families
  • Develop and apply standard engineering best practices

Qualifications You Must Have :
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience in circuit theory, analog and digital design, instrumentation, semiconductor devices, and power supply design
  • Hands-on experience designing Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs)
  • Familiarity with requirements management and design verification processes

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with RTCA DO-160 and MIL-STD-461 testing
  • Background in designing for EMI, lightning protection, and digital communications
  • Proficiency with Cadence and Allegro tools for schematic capture, PCB layout, CCA design, and documentation

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
