Role: Electrical Hardware Design Engineer
Client: Defense-Aerospace
Hourly Rate: up to $88/hr (W2, non-benefited) ย
Length: Long-term Contract
Location:ย Bloomington, MN
Clearance: Given the nature of our work, all positions require US Citizenship and residency.

Primary Responsibilities
- You will have the opportunity to be involved during all program phases, including requirements analysis, schematic capture, defining routing constraints, directing PCB/PWB layout and routing activities, and finally support the manufacturing, integration & test, and qualification of the hardware system.
- You will work with both internal and external stakeholders and customers to develop systems that meets their high expectations.ย
- You will primarily support the Airborne Systems business area developing mission computers, sensor processors, and stores management hardware, with opportunities to work across the organizationย

- Designing electrical hardware using the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool suite
- High-speed and high-density circuit card design incorporating embedded processors or FPGAs, designs using fiber optic interfaces
- Advance working knowledge of lab equipment including oscilloscopes and Ethernet network testers. ย

Desired Skills
- Understanding of the hardware development process throughout the lifecycle of a programย
- Experience with circuit card designs, including using advanced materials, packaging techniques, and high speed interfaces
- Advanced knowledge of the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition tools suite for schematic entry, constraint manager, and HyperLynx Signa Integrity/Power Integrity analysis
- Ability to persevere through deign challenges with minimal directionย
- Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to drive innovation and secure buy-in on your concepts and ideas
- Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
