Job description

We are looking for a 2nd or 3rd shift sanitation/production operator to join our team and be responsible for the production and cleaning of facilities and equipment. This individual will assist in the execution of the master sanitation schedule throughout the facility; will assist in CIP's and COP's, and other special cleaning projects as assigned. 

What you'll do:

  • Follow, understand, and abide by all sanitation procedures and document sanitation activities using the master sanitation schedule. 
  • Utilize hand tools to disassemble equipment in order to facilitate cleaning, complete inspections/recleaning, and re-assemble equipment upon completion.
  • Properly and safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Follow all Company Rules, including the HACCP Program, LOTO, and GMP Policy.
  • Climb stairs and ladders, work in confined spaces, or at heights to access hard to reach areas in cold, hot, wet, or dusty environments. 
  • Work with power equipment such as forklifts, high-pressure systems, scissor lifts, and other equipment as necessary.

What you'll bring:

  • Must be able to work well with minimum supervision.
  • Must be able to pass confined space entry, forklift training, and other specialized training as needed.
  • Must be safety conscious, aware of safety considerations related to the entire operation and report safety concerns to the Supervisor.
  • Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the operation of microprocessor/computer based controllers.
  • Flexibility with scheduling (8-hour or 12-hour shifts, weekends).
  • Ability to read, write, and a desire to learn about equipment (pipeline systems, flow paths). 
  • Ability to lift up to 55lbs regularly, position 100lbs, stand for extended periods of time, assemble equipment, and work safely in hot environment.
