Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days- totaling 80 hours worked- and have every other Friday off

 

 

Job Description:

 

The Software Engineer develops and integrates software features to support mission systems within an Agile development environment. This role translates customer and system requirements into technical designs, implements and tests software components, and supports delivery of quality releases. The position supports cross-functional collaboration across engineering and program teams.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Analyze requirements, create technical designs, and implement software components and applications.
  • Perform unit/component testing, support verification activities, and report status of tasks and issues.
  • Integrate third-party hardware and software solutions in a representative Software Integration Lab (SIL).
  • Support integration and customer-facing events with approximately 10% travel.
  • Participate within a cross-functional SCRUM team.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressively advanced object oriented commercial or government software development experience.
  • Practical experience with C# and Visual Studio,
  • Practical knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of object-oriented design/development
  • Practical knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of source code management and defect tracking
  • Ability to quickly and effectively break down assignments into work tasks and provide effort and schedule estimates and successfully achieve them.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with WPF/XAML
  • Azure DevOps source control (Git) and YAML pipelines
  • Familiarity with SOLID principles
  • TCP/UDP networking concepts.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret clearance if needed.
