About Apex Service Partners

Apex Service Partners partners with leading HVAC, plumbing, and electrical service brands across the country. As we continue to grow, we're building an internal web team to manage and standardize our expanding portfolio of WordPress websites.

About the Role

Reporting to the Web Department Manager, the WordPress & Web Operations Administrator will support the day-to-day health, performance, and maintenance of Apex's website portfolio. This role is responsible for WordPress administration, website updates, hosting coordination, monitoring, troubleshooting, deployments, analytics tracking, and support ticket resolution.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on WordPress professional who can independently resolve website issues, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Website Operations & WordPress Administration

  • Manage and maintain multiple WordPress websites.
  • Coordinate WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates.
  • Monitor backups, security, uptime, and website performance.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and site access.
  • Maintain website documentation, inventories, and configurations.

Hosting, Deployments & Website Support

  • Support website launches, migrations, onboarding, and hosting transfers.
  • Assist with DNS, SSL, CDN, staging, and production environments.
  • Deploy approved website updates and validate functionality.
  • Follow deployment, testing, rollback, and QA procedures.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Monitor websites for outages, broken links, security issues, form failures, and tracking errors.
  • Diagnose and resolve common WordPress, plugin, theme, layout, and performance issues.
  • Escalate complex application, hosting, security, or development issues as needed.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and preventative actions.

Ticket Management & User Support

  • Respond to and resolve website support requests.
  • Prioritize tickets based on service levels and business impact.
  • Communicate status updates and resolutions to stakeholders.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions.

Website Performance & QA

  • Monitor Core Web Vitals, Search Console, Lighthouse, and PageSpeed metrics.
  • Conduct routine quality assurance testing across devices and browsers.
  • Review conversion paths, forms, phone links, and user experience elements.
  • Support ongoing website optimization and performance improvements.

Content, Page Building & Analytics

  • Build and update pages using Divi, Elementor, WPBakery, Avada, and Gutenberg.
  • Implement HTML/CSS updates and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Manage and optimize digital assets.
  • Support Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager implementation and validation.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot conversion tracking and event reporting.

Documentation & Collaboration

  • Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and checklists.
  • Work closely with developers, designers, content creators, SEO, IT, and external partners.
  • Contribute to website governance, process improvement, and standardization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in WordPress administration, web operations, website support, or related roles.
  • Experience managing multiple production WordPress websites.
  • Strong knowledge of WordPress core, plugins, themes, user management, backups, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS; working knowledge of JavaScript and PHP.
  • Experience with Divi, Elementor, WPBakery, Avada, and Gutenberg.
  • Experience with hosting environments, DNS, SSL, backups, migrations, and website deployments.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Search Console, Lighthouse, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Kinsta, WP Engine, Cloudflare, Git, WP-CLI, or deployment automation.
  • Knowledge of website security, accessibility standards, and technical SEO.
  • Experience with Jira, Zendesk, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting large multi-location or multi-brand website portfolios.

Role Requirements

  • Full-time position based in Irving-Las Colinas, TX.
  • Hybrid schedule: 4 days in office, Wednesdays remote.
  • Approximately 10% travel.
  • Occasional after-hours support for launches, migrations, or critical incidents.
