Systems Engineer / IT Infrastructure Consultant (MSP)
Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid)

About the Opportunity
SNI Technology is partnering with an established Managed IT Services organization that supports a diverse portfolio of small and mid-sized businesses throughout the Denver area. We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer who enjoys wearing multiple hats as both a technical expert and a trusted technology advisor.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a consulting environment, enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, and likes building long-term relationships with clients. You'll have the opportunity to lead technical initiatives, influence technology roadmaps, and work with modern Microsoft and cloud technologies across a variety of business environments.
Most of your work will be performed remotely, with scheduled visits to client locations throughout the Denver metroplex when project work or onsite support is required.

What You'll Be Doing
As a senior member of the engineering team, you'll oversee the health, stability, and future direction of multiple client environments while serving as their primary technical contact.
Responsibilities include:
  • Manage and support a portfolio of SMB clients with varying technology environments
  • Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft-based infrastructure both on-premises and in the cloud
  • Lead server, networking, virtualization, and cloud implementation projects from planning through completion
  • Evaluate existing environments and recommend technology improvements that align with business objectives
  • Provide senior-level troubleshooting for infrastructure, networking, security, and systems issues
  • Build and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable IT environments
  • Develop technical documentation and implementation plans for projects
  • Coordinate project milestones while communicating progress with internal teams and clients
  • Support disaster recovery planning, cloud adoption initiatives, and infrastructure modernization efforts
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Participate in occasional maintenance windows outside normal business hours when required

Desired Background
We're looking for someone who has spent several years supporting multiple business environments and enjoys working directly with customers.
Ideal qualifications include:
  • 5+ years supporting multiple clients in an MSP, consulting, or outsourced IT environment
  • Senior-level experience administering Microsoft infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, and Intune
  • Experience implementing and supporting VMware or similar virtualization platforms
  • Advanced networking knowledge including VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, and firewall administration
  • Experience working with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Proven success leading infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, server refreshes, Microsoft 365 implementations, disaster recovery initiatives, and network modernization projects

Bonus Experience
Any combination of the following is considered a plus:
  • Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA certifications
  • Azure Administrator certification (AZ-104 or equivalent)
  • VMware certifications
  • ConnectWise, NinjaOne, Datto, Kaseya, or other RMM/PSA platforms
  • Google Workspace administration

  • Experience assisting with technical sales, solution design, or client presentations
