This role offers a fully remote working setup, allowing our counselors to establish flexible schedules that cater to their lifestyles. As a member of our outpatient counseling team, you will conduct therapy sessions via secure video chat. Counselors will have access to an intuitive counselor portal that streamlines client management and session scheduling.

• Conduct thorough and empathetic individual counseling sessions, utilizing video conferencing technology.
• Employ solution-focused therapeutic modalities to facilitate meaningful and effective sessions that cater to each client's unique needs.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, addressing their specific circumstances and mental health challenges.
• Assist clients in gaining insights into their thoughts, emotions, and interpersonal relationships to foster self-awareness and growth.
• Regularly assess client progress throughout their treatment plans and adjust strategies as necessary to encourage healthy coping mechanisms.
• Document session notes and treatment updates promptly while adhering to ethical guidelines and maintaining confidentiality.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Riley Mental and Wellness Center, you will primarily work with stable, low-acuity adult clients who present a diverse range of mental health needs. This may include individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, stress management, or life transitions. Our focus is on helping these individuals develop essential skills to enhance their overall quality of life, empowering them to thrive in their personal and professional settings.

• A Master’s degree in a counseling-related discipline such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A current, state-issued mental health counseling license that permits independent practice. Please submit specific licensing details with your application, including:

• Strong computer proficiency, enabling you to navigate counseling software and conduct effective video sessions.
• A reliable computer equipped with a webcam and audio capabilities, along with a stable internet connection for seamless virtual interactions.

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, candidates with a proven track record of successful client outcomes in mental health counseling will be prioritized.
