Senior QA Automation Engineer
Job Summary
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer at Redsail Technologies, you will lead automation projects, mentor junior team members, and contribute to strategic decisions on automation frameworks and tools. Your expertise in test automation, DevOps principles, and data management will drive the continuous improvement of our testing processes.
Key Duties
  • Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive automation frameworks like Playwright, Robot, Cypress, etc.
  • Mentor and guide junior QA Automation Engineers.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Integrate advanced automated tests into the build and deployment process.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for test failures and implement long-term solutions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust test strategies.
  • Develop and implement strategies for data management and test data generation.

Education/Training
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent applicable experience, plus at least 5 years of professional technical experience in software, which includes: 5 years of experience in test automation, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with RedSail applications or other pharmacy management systems (preferred).
  • Expertise in agile processes.
  • Proficient knowledge of cloud computing (bonus for Azure).
  • Extensive API testing experience.

Required Work Experience/Skills
  • Expert technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design, and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge in a programming language like Node.js, Python, or C# for developing test scripts and automation solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge using open-source load testing tools designed for testing the performance of APIs and web applications like JMeter, K6, Gatling, etc.
  • Exceptional analytical and design skills at multiple product levels.
  • Highly proficient in research and analysis, planning, and implementation.
  • In-depth understanding of the entire development process including specifications, documentation, quality assurance, and release management.
  • Deep understanding of business issues and their impact on overall plans.
  • Exceptional time management, decision-making, organization, presentation, and problem resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication, human relations, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Work Experience/Skills
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

Compensation & Total Rewards
  • The anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000 annually. This position is also eligible for an annual target bonus of 4%. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
