In this career, your responsibilities include designing, developing, and debugging the backend of software programs for websites, applications, tools, and databases. You also work with JavaScript frameworks, develop tests using testing frameworks, help build and deploy automation scripts, troubleshoot, and resolve app performance issues. As a senior web developer, you may supervise a team of developers and collaborate with user experience designers to determine what the frontend user experience and website layout will look like during the design phase.
