The firm provides comprehensive, holistic financial planning and investment advisory services for individuals, families, business owners, non-profit and institutional clients. We assist clients in articulating meaningful goals and attaining those goals through actions and strategies consistent with their specified values.

Position Overview:
We are always on the lookout for someone who loves to close business, and who craves independence and flexibility. As a Senior Wealth Manager for Plancorp, you'll contribute to significant growth for the firm by evangelizing the Plancorp brand and providing white glove service to our clients, while having the support of a team behind you. Our Senior Wealth Managers are long term hires with a path to ownership in the firm.
The Senior Wealth Manager has an entrepreneurial spirit and wants to apply their talents in a fee-only environment. They have a passion for explaining complex personal financial matters in a way that makes sense to anyone. This role is responsible for business development, as well as servicing clients. The Senior Wealth Manager plays a lead advisory role with a financial planning focus, and operates in a team-based environment, where everyone is rewarded based on the success of the firm.
What You Bring:
• B.A. or B.S. degree from accredited four-year university; social sciences or business major preferred.
• CFP designation
• 6+ years serving as lead advisor/consultant for high-net-worth clients either with a wealth management firm or the tax division of an accounting firm.
Experience with being a Lead Client Relationship owner:
  • Serve as the primary advisor and decision-maker for high-net-worth clients

  • Lead client review and discovery meetings, including complex financial planning scenarios

  • Deliver advanced planning strategies across tax, estate, investments, and risk management

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary financial planning engagements, including:

  • Tax strategy and coordination with external CPAs

  • Specializations in equity compensation planning, business owners, etc. a plus

  • Retirement income and distribution planning

  • Estate and legacy planning in partnership with attorneys

  • An understanding of the fundamentals of investing, including the characteristics and use of various investment securities, the mechanics of securities transactions, and the different types of investment accounts.

  • Ability to synthesize competing planning priorities (tax, investment, estate, behavioral) into clear, actionable recommendations

  • Investing in the growth and development of Planners and Wealth Managers

Experience with Driving New Business Growth:
  • Lead the full discovery and onboarding process for new clients

  • Generate new business through:

  • Referrals

  • Firm-generated leads

  • Personal networks

  • Consistently contribute to revenue growth and new client acquisition

  • Act as an ambassador for Plancorp by articulating our value proposition clearly to prospects
