Our client, a leading organization in the technology and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of the Unix Engineering department supporting large-scale server migration projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range:

What's the Job?

  • Support and execute large-scale server migration projects involving physical and virtual infrastructure relocation.
  • Manage and migrate VMware ESXi environments, including vMotion, storage vMotion, and cross-site migrations with minimal disruption.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and migrate iSCSI storage networks, ensuring connectivity, performance, and security.
  • Develop automation tools to streamline migration workflows and ensure repeatability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to understand requirements, assess readiness, and deliver effective solutions.

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering with a minimum of four years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience leading or participating in large-scale data center or server migration projects.
  • Deep understanding of Linux OS internals and architecture, with hands-on experience in Linux-based compute environments.
  • Expertise with VMware ESXi, vSphere, and related virtualization technologies, including vMotion and storage migration techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of iSCSI storage networking, LVM configurations, and advanced networking concepts.
