Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough client evaluations to ascertain mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • Facilitate engaging therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families, focusing on fostering emotional growth and coping strategies.
  • Guide clients in setting achievable goals and monitoring their progress throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in mental health practices through ongoing training and educational opportunities, contributing to a culture of excellence.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves diverse community populations, providing mental health counseling to individuals facing various challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. You will work closely with clients from different backgrounds, ensuring that your approach is culturally competent and individually tailored to each person's unique circumstances.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • An active Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) credential from the state of Vermont.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver therapy to clients from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Proficient in using evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to connect with clients and colleagues.
  • Adept in both independent and collaborative work settings, having a proactive and resilient approach to challenges.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of experience in providing mental health counseling within a clinical setting, particularly with Outpatient facilities.
  • Familiarity with telehealth practices and tools, including secure video conferencing and EHR systems.
  • Experience in community outreach and engagement initiatives to promote mental health awareness and support.
