Senior Veterinary Technician

Compensation: $25-$30+/hour (based on experience)

Step Into a True Senior-Level Role
This is not a standard technician position.
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Veterinary Technician who wants to operate at a high clinical level, be trusted with complex cases, and serve as a key resource within the hospital.
Position Summary
The Senior Veterinary Technician functions primarily in surgery and treatment, focusing on anesthesia, advanced patient care, and clinical excellence. This role also supports team development and helps maintain high medical standards across the hospital.
This is a clinical leadership role - not a management position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and monitor anesthesia (induction, intubation, recovery)
  • Manage high-risk or unstable anesthesia cases
  • Place IV catheters and manage fluid therapy
  • Oversee hospitalized and critical patients
  • Lead triage and support emergency intake
  • Perform advanced treatments, wound care, and post-op evaluations
  • Review treatment plans, refills, and patient status
  • Train and mentor technicians and assistants
  • Support doctor efficiency and hospital workflow
What We're Looking For
  • 4+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Strong anesthesia and surgical skills
  • Ability to manage complex/critical cases
  • Leadership mindset with accountability and initiative
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • CVT/LVT preferred but not required
