UNIX Systems Administrator - Junior Level Why This is an Exciting Role: BI&A is seeking a UNIX Systems Administrator to be responsible for the administration, support, maintenance, and optimization of UNIX operating systems and network connectivity across the enterprise. This role ensures system reliability, performance, security, and compliance while providing technical expertise for disaster recovery, high availability solutions, and strategic infrastructure planning. Experience and Qualifications: To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications: Required Education and Years of Experience: * 6 Years of experience in Systems Administration roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities. * A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience and a Master's Degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience. Required Qualifications: * TS/SCI with an active CI Polygraph * Extensive hands-on experience with AIX, HP-UX, and Solaris operating systems * Proven experience with system performance tuning and optimization * Experience designing and implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions * Experience with data migrations between systems * Willingness and ability to work flexible schedules, including potential shift work Desired Qualifications: * Relevant certifications (e.g. Oracle Solaris Administrator, IBM AIX Administrator) * Experience with virtualization technologies * Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices * Experience with configuration management tools Telework/Remote Availability: Telework/Remote work currently not authorized Work Location(s): Annapolis Junction, MD Summary Pay Range: Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only.
