Overview
Verathon® is looking for a Senior Buyer-Planner to become the newest member of our Operations located in Bothell, WA. In this role, you will perform a variety of purchasing assignments, to ensure we achieve our corporate goals relating to raw inventory availability, supplier costs, on-time delivery and quality. If you are an experienced and driven supply chain professional looking for a new challenge in a rapidly growing business with a purpose of making a real difference in today's world, then the Senior Buyer-Planner at Verathon is the job you have been looking for.
Responsibilities
• Own the end to end supply chain and supplier relationship for assigned commodities
• Evaluate supplier capacity required to support customer demand
• Analyze demand and place purchase orders for materials and ensure supplier commitments are met
• Manage assigned inventory within predefined Min/Max levels and countermeasure as needed
• Ensure the third party logistics facility achieves the required inventory level
• Negotiates with suppliers to mitigate potential delivery issues
• Analyze supplier responses and make recommendations to business when there are constraints
• Manage NPI transitions to production
• Participate in Supplier Business Review meetings
• Closely monitor supplier OTD and escalate as needed
• Escalate EOL/LTB decisions and associated supplier negotiations (e.g. pricing, lead-time)
• Collaborate with A/P team members to promptly reconcile PO/invoice discrepancies
• Work with MRB team to process RTV's in a timely fashion
• Respond to and update ECR's and ECO's as needed
• Purchasing lead for annual regulatory audits (e.g. FDA, TUV, ISO)
• Identify potential supply chain risks and offers creative solutions
• Partners with Sourcing on special projects
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 8+ years of purchasing experience
• Experience purchasing & planning electrical, electro-mechanical and mechanical components
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers
• Experience in supply planning and/or experience managing subcontract PO's
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and present information
• Ability to create partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Understanding of S & OP process
• Understanding of MRP systems, bill of materials, engineering change order processes
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Epicor experience a plus
• Travel up to 10% of the time is required
• APICS and ISM Certifications are preferred
Salary range - $117,040.00 - $156,000.00 (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range).
Full-time employees who are not on a commission plan are eligible for Verathon's annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
