What does a Senior Transportation Planner do?

A Senior Transportation Planner is responsible for developing, evaluating, and implementing transportation projects and policies that improve the movement of people and goods. They lead planning studies, analyze data on traffic patterns, and collaborate with government agencies, engineers, and the public to design effective transportation systems. Senior Transportation Planners also oversee junior staff, manage budgets, and ensure that projects comply with regulations and meet community needs. Their work helps create safer, more efficient, and sustainable transportation networks.
