What You Will Do:
As a Salesforce Technical Architect / Senior Technical Architect, you will serve as the primary technology advisor for enterprise-scale Salesforce programs supporting Federal and Public Sector clients. You will lead solution architecture, technical strategy, and delivery governance for complex digital transformation initiatives while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned with mission objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Serve as the lead architect for large-scale Salesforce implementations, providing strategic guidance on platform capabilities, architecture patterns, and solution design.
  • Partner with clients, business stakeholders, delivery leaders, and implementation teams to define technical roadmaps and transformation strategies that support business goals and program objectives.
  • Lead discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and solution planning activities to gather requirements and design enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions.
  • Design end-to-end technical architectures across Salesforce products, including Salesforce Platform, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Public Sector Solutions (PSS), OmniStudio, and custom applications.
  • Architect secure and scalable solutions encompassing data models, integrations, application development, identity and access management, security controls, and deployment strategies.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, including pre-sales, solutioning, estimation, delivery oversight, and post-implementation support.
  • Develop architecture deliverables including solution diagrams, technical design documents, integration specifications, data migration strategies, and governance frameworks.
  • Lead architecture reviews and ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices, security standards, and development methodologies.
  • Design and oversee integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems using REST APIs, SOAP services, middleware platforms, ETL tools, and cloud-based services.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders by providing recommendations on platform optimization, modernization efforts, and emerging technologies.
  • Identify technical, operational, and delivery risks early and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution.
  • Collaborate with Delivery Managers and project teams to align technical solutions with project timelines, budget constraints, and business priorities.
  • Mentor developers, administrators, business analysts, and junior architects to promote technical excellence and professional growth.
  • Support business development efforts by participating in client presentations, proposal development, solution demonstrations, and technical evaluations.
  • Contribute to internal practice development initiatives, architecture standards, reusable assets, accelerators, and thought leadership efforts across the Salesforce practice.
  • Evaluate emerging Salesforce capabilities, including Agentforce, AI solutions, automation technologies, and industry-specific offerings to drive innovation and business value.
  • Travel may be required based on client and project requirements.

What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and governing enterprise technology solutions, including significant experience on the Salesforce Platform.
  • US Citizenship is contractually required for this role
  • Selected candidate must be able to obtain a security clearance
  • Proven experience serving as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Lead Architect on enterprise Salesforce programs.
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce architecture, including application architecture, data architecture, integration architecture, and security architecture.
  • Experience designing and implementing Salesforce solutions within Federal Government, State Government, or Public Sector environments.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, APIs, security models, and deployment frameworks.
  • Strong experience designing integrations between Salesforce and third-party enterprise applications using middleware, APIs, and cloud platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and optimize business processes through technology-enabled solutions.
  • Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to executive, business, and technical audiences.
  • Proven experience facilitating architecture workshops, technical design reviews, and executive-level presentations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop architecture artifacts, proposals, and client-facing deliverables.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex technical challenges and develop practical, scalable solutions.
  • Application design and software development background, including experience with enterprise architecture principles and best practices.
  • Ability to influence decision-making and drive consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.

What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Application Architect, System Architect, or other advanced Salesforce certifications.
  • Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) / Agentforce Public Sector.
  • Extensive experience with OmniStudio, including OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors, and Integration Procedures.
  • Experience supporting large-scale Federal digital modernization and citizen services transformation programs.
  • Experience designing solutions in regulated environments requiring compliance with federal security and privacy standards.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce GovCloud environments and Public Sector implementation best practices.
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT, GitHub, or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or equivalent methodologies.
  • Experience leading architecture governance boards, technical review committees, and solution approval processes.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce AI, Agentforce, and emerging automation capabilities.

The annual salary range for this position is $149,000.00-$248,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
