Elaborate these concepts into top-level designs within the market-driven constraints of fidelity, quality, cost, and schedule. Plan, organize, lead, and participate in (1) the elaboration of top-level systems, software, and hardware designs into the detailed design level and (2) the implementation of the detailed designs into the product. Test the product to these designs.

Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Object-Oriented Systems Engineering Method (OOSEM), development of simulation models, software programming languages, hardware processes and procedures, and well-developed computer and network skills are required.

A signing bonus of up to $10,000.00 is available with this position.

• Serve as lead engineer with responsibility to direct and coordinate work of other engineering and technical staff.

• Review contract requirements, program and training system specifications, and applicable standards to identify and evaluate programmatic and technical needs.

• Analyze operational and performance requirements of the overall system and conceptualize candidate top-level system design approaches that comply with these requirements. These analyses include consideration of hardware computational capabilities, system latencies, spare time requirements, etc.

• Identify and evaluate interface requirements between the hardware and software. Define top-level interface specifications that align with the overall system architecture.

• Conduct value engineering trade studies of candidate top-level design approaches to assess design alternatives and determine the optimum solution.

• Identify and manage program risks proactively to mitigate potential issues and control costs.

• Develop detailed designs via analyses, elaboration, and decomposition of top-level interface, operational, and performance requirements.

• Ensure system requirements are allocated to configuration items and traceable to validation methods utilizing MBSE and OOSEM approaches.

• Write software code using C, Fortran, and/or other high order languages and/or develop hardware products compliant with detailed design requirements. Utilization of the Linux Operating System.

• Perform subsystem implementation test, integration test, and acceptance test of design products to ensure quality and compliance.

• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues to diagnose and resolve problems effectively.

• Participate in installation, acceptance, and delivery of training devices to various world-wide locations.
