Job Description:
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for supporting all users of the firm for all supported technologies. They will play a critical role as a member of the IT Infrastructure team, which manages all aspects of support, infrastructure and Information Security.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform on-site and remote support for end users firm wide
  • Participate in hardware and software deployment initiatives
  • Perform minor equipment repairs
  • Participate in Office 365 related initiatives and issue resolution
  • Troubleshoot technologies related to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). E.g. Citrix, VMWare
  • Take active role in managing ITSM and CMDB
  • Member of Core Incident Response Team providing initial response to cybersecurity incidents
  • Develop and maintain documentation of processes and components of infrastructure
  • Assist in the development and implementation of technology training for users
  • Assist in development and automation of business processes at Alger.

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree in Information Technology related concentration or a combination of undergraduate degree with requisite training and experience
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 in a 4.0 scale required
  • 3 or more years of IT support related experience
  • Ability to be self-motivated and multitask with excellent time management skills and can handle tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Office 365 Management (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, etc.)
  • Understanding of general programming techniques in PowerShell scripting, SQL, Batch Scheduling like ActiveBatch, APIs, etc.
  • Experience with virtual environments, preferably leveraging VMWare and Citrix
  • Understanding of networking principles (e.g. OSI model, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to continually learn new systems and technological developments
  • Able to work overtime as needed
  • Understanding of reporting like SSRS/PowerBI.

  • Experience with a wide variety of network operating systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to interact with people from different departments
  • Experience in programming principles.

Salary Expectations: $70,000-85,000 base salary plus discretionary bonus per performance
