Job description

Senior Dry Etch Process Engineer (Evergreen) – Boise, ID

Micron Technology is a world leader in memory and storage solutions. Join our Boise expansion team as a Senior Dry Etch Process Engineer. Your responsibility will be to start up, develop, and optimize dry etch processes that improve product quality, drive process yield improvements, reduce cost, boost productivity, and manage risk. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to resolve production line problems and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and yield.

Position Levels: Semiconductor Process Engineer 3 to 5.

Responsibilities
  • Strong process area knowledge
  • DRAM development and manufacturing experience
  • Collaborate with equipment engineers and integrations engineers to identify and resolve issues affecting production
  • Use project management skills to complete project milestones that close yield, defectivity, production, and cost gaps
  • Drive improvements across all statistical process control charts that you own
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of industry experience as Process Owner within Dry Etch
  • BS or Masters in an Engineering field, equivalent military experience, or AAS with 5+ years industry experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a meticulous approach
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient in data science and programming
